New York Bus Service was a private bus company located in New York City. It was founded in the mid-1940s under the name Parochial Bus Service that provided school bus service but was best known for providing express service between Midtown Manhattan and eastern parts of the Bronx from 1970 until July 1, 2005, when the city (MTA) assumed the company's operations.Die-cast metal body

The Classic was a transit bus developed by General Motors. The design was originally intended solely for the Canadian market as an alternative to the unpopular Rapid Transit Series (RTS) but ultimately the Classic, manufactured from 1982 until 1997, met with success in both Canada and the United States. In 1987 GM sold the transit bus division to Motor Coach Industries (MCI) who manufactured the Classic until 1993 when it was sold to NovaBus. GM, MCI and NovaBus also built a commuter version of the Classic with all forward-facing seats and no center exit.
Iconic Replica models are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, using specifications of the original vehicle. They are fully assembled and feature accurate paint schemes. This model is made with die-cast metal and some plastic components.
