The Flxible Company introduced its New Look transit bus design in 1959 with regular production starting in 1960. It looked similar to the General Motors New Look bus. Both had a large 6-piece “fishbowl” style windshield, fluted aluminum siding and forward slanted passenger windows. The 53102 was part of the third generation of Flxible New Look buses (1973-1978) and was replaced in 1978 with the "870" Advanced Design Bus. From 1960 to 1978 Flxible built 13,121 New Look transit buses.Die-cast metal body
