K.A.R.R. (Knight Automated Roving Robot) is the prototype version of K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand), two fictional vehicles with highly advanced artificial intelligence. K.A.R.R., with flawed programming, was a major antagonist of K.I.T.T. in two episodes of the TV series Knight Rider. The vehicle used for KARR was a modified black and silver 1982 Pontiac Trans Am.
Knight Rider is a television series that aired on NBC from 1982 to 1986. A total of 90 episodes were produced. The series starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a former detective who is recruited by the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG) to fight crime with the help of a car with advanced artificial intelligence named K.I.T.T.
