The LTV A-7 Corsair II is a carrier-capable subsonic light attack aircraft that was developed from the Vought F-8 Crusader. First flown on September 26, 1965 the A-7 was retired by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force in 1991. A total of 1,545 A-7 Corsairs were built.
