Eurofighter Typhoon 7L-WN Tranche #1 c/n 074/GS011 was the eleventh aircraft manufactured for the Austrian Air Force. This aircraft along with 7L-WB took part in the Austrian Air Force “Air Power 2019” air show held at Zeltweg Air Base the home of Austria’s EF-2000 aircraft. Between 2007 and 2009 Austria received 15 EF-2000s and presently want to replace these aircraft and at one point Indonesia showed interest. Zeltweg AB is known as Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser named after an early 20th Century Austrian balloonist.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engine multi-role fighter built by a European consortium made up of the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Italy. The development of the Eurofighter began in 1983 with the first flight of the prototype occurring on March 27, 1994. The first fully equipped Tranche 2 Instrumented Production Aircraft (IPA7) took to the skies on January 16, 2008.
