The 157th FS “Swamp Fox” / 169th FW, South Carolina ANG, started to receive the Lockheed F-16 Fighting Falcon in July 1983. In 1995 they became the first ANG unit to receive the F-16 Block 52 directly from Lockheed instead of second-hand from regular U.S. Air Force units. This change made them into a multi-role unit and with the arrival of the HARM Targeting System the 157th FS became a Wild Weasel unit. 2015 was the 50th Anniversary of the 157th FS and was marked by a special paint scheme on F-16 #92-3911.Opening canopy

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine fighter aircraft built by General Dynamics, that later became Lockheed Martin. Originally designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multi-role aircraft that can perform various kinds of missions. First flown on January 20, 1974, the F-16 entered operational service with the USAF in January of 1979. It has an internal M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon and multiple locations for mounting missiles, bombs and other mission equipment. Although it is no longer being purchased by the USAF, improved versions of the F-16 are still being produced for export customers. Over 4,500 F-16s have been built for the U.S. Air Force and the air forces of twenty-five other nations.
Hobby Master offers a wide selection of quality, pre-assembled, diecast model airplanes. Each model is crafted to a high level of accuracy using specifications of the original aircraft. They are constructed with precision-made diecast metal and some plastic components.
