The Bristol Beaufighter was a British long-range heavy fighter aircraft used during World War II. The Beaufighter Mk.VIF was the night-fighter version. Most of the Beaufighters were eventually replaced in this role by the faster Mosquito but the Beaufighter continued in service performing anti-shipping and long-range interdiction duties. The Beaufighter was built in 14 variants.
