Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21PFM – No. 47, Soviet Air Force, 1972
1:72 Scale. Length: 8". Wingspan: 4"
MiG-21PFM #47 was built as c/n 940MS13. After retirement from the Soviet Air Force, MiG-21 #47 became the gate guard at Kluczewo Air Base, Poland, which closed in 1992. It eventually made its way to the National Military Museum in Buren, Netherlands.
The MiG-21 is a supersonic jet fighter designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the former Soviet Union. Some 50 countries over four continents have flown the MiG-21, and it still serves many nations over a half-century after its maiden flight in 1955. It is the most-produced combat aircraft since the Korean War and it had the longest production run of a combat aircraft (1959 to 1985 over all variants).
Hobby Master offers a wide selection of quality, pre-assembled, diecast model airplanes. Each model is crafted to a high level of accuracy using specifications of the original aircraft. They are constructed with precision-made diecast metal and some plastic components.
