This Viper Mark I is the first model of the Colonial Viper space fighter line and was also known as the Starhound Class Viper. These small, nimble, single-pilot ships were designed for both atmospheric and space flight and were stationed on Colonial Battlestars, each of which held a squadron of 75. It was introduced to military service not so long before the First Cylon War as a defensive counterattack against the Cylon Fleet.

Eaglemoss has worked closely with members of the modern Galactica VFX team to ensure that the models in this series are as detailed and accurate as possible. The accompanying magazine profiles each ship and features interviews with the show's creators including Ronald Moore. This series will feature models from both the classic and 2004 television series.
