The first ten miles of the Galena and Chicago Union Railroad was completed in 1848. This line was a direct predecessor of the Chicago & North Western line. The company has lived on and still in operation today. This Diamond T 620 and other smaller trucks would have been used for pick-up and delivery service and for carrying supplies to and from maintenance stations.

The Corgi "Heavy Haulers" series includes high quality, pre-built, diecast models of heavy duty commercial trucks. Every model is crafted using the specifications of the original vehicle. They feature historically accurate paint schemes, rotating wheels and rubber tires. Corgi models are constructed with diecast metal and some plastic components.
