This Fox was delivered by railcar to Morristown NJ and placed into service with the Washington Engine Company in 1947. This was one of two Foxes delivered that year. The other was placed in service with the Independent Hose Co. Both operated out of the Market Street firehouse. The Ahrens-Fox remained in the service until the early 1970's. It was then placed on reserve status.
