The Interceptor was the car driven by Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson) in the 1979 film Mad Max and the 1981 sequel Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior. It is a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT customized to become a police interceptor of the Main Force Patrol. The same car, after modifications, was used in both films.
