Founded in 1948, the HHFD serves the residential and rural community in the northwest portion of the town of Onondaga in central New York. The HHFD's 1988 E-One Sidemount Pumper, E3, is the first engine due at all in-district structure fires and runs back-up to out of district calls as needed. With a short turning radius this truck is extremely flexible and maneuverable. It carries a crew of eight, a 750-gallon water tank, a 1,500 g.p.m. pump, carries 2,000 feet of 5-inch hose and is equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator.
The Corgi "Heroes Under Fire" range includes high quality, ready-made, die-cast models of fire and rescue apparatus. Every model is crafted using specifications of the original vehicle. They feature: historically accurate paint schemes, firefighting equipment, rotating wheels and rubber tires. Corgi models are constructed with diecast metal and some plastic components.
