Description
Franklin Mint Precision Diecast Model
Wells Fargo Overland Stagecoach
1:16 Scale. Length: 11". Height: 7.25"
Before the transcontinental railroad and the automobile, there was the overland stagecoach. It connected the burgeoning towns of the western frontier, delivering its cargoes of gold, company payrolls, the mail, and the brave men and women who settled the West. This scale model is a fitting tribute to their tenacious spirit -- and to the distinguished history of Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo was founded in San Francisco, CA by Henry Wells and William Fargo as a bank and express operation on March 18, 1852. It was the peak of the Gold Rush, a period of fervid speculation and fortune-seeking and Wells Fargo offered miners a variety of banking services.
Assembled by hand from more than 150 individual parts. Rich with authentic details. From the driver and "shotgun" seats to the spoked wheels, realistic interior, leather window shades and vintage graphics. It also includes a scale-size Wells Fargo strongbox, shotguns and luggage.
