Ghostbusters is a 1984 comedy film about a trio of misfit parapsychologists who are fired from Columbia University in New York and start up their own business investigating and eliminating ghosts. It was followed by a sequel, Ghostbusters II in 1989, and two animated TV series, The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters. The films sparked the catchphrases "Who you gonna call ? Ghostbusters!" and "I ain't 'fraid of no ghost," both from the hit theme song written and performed by Ray Parker Jr.
