Batman is a 1960s television series which was based on the DC comic book character. It aired on the ABC network from January 12, 1966 to March 14, 1968. The series starred Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin, two crime-fighting heroes who defended "Gotham City". A memorable part of the series were Batman and Robin's crime-fighting vehicles, which included the Batmobile. The Batmobile was crafted from a Lincoln concept car called the Futura.
