Hobby Master 1:72 Air Power Series Diecast Model

General Dynamics (now Lockheed) F-16C Fighting Falcon – 85-0418, 64th Aggressor Squadron, 57th Wing, Nellis AFB, Nevada, September 2016

1:72 Scale.  Length: 8.25".  Wingspan: 5.5"

The 57th Adversary Tactics Group was established in July 2005 consisting of seven components including the 64th Aggressor Squadron. The 64th AGRS provides USAF and allied aircrews with class room instruction as well as airborne training and techniques to overcome their adversaries in combat. On August 5, 2016 to coincide with the change of command for the 57th ATG, F-16C #85-0418 was shown for the first time wearing the new “Splinter” paint scheme. Soon there will also be a new “Shark Scheme” applied to the Aggressor Squadrons F-16 Fighting Falcons.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine fighter aircraft built by General Dynamics, that later became Lockheed Martin. Originally designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multi-role aircraft that can perform various kinds of missions. First flown on January 20, 1974, the F-16 entered operational service with the USAF in January of 1979. It has an internal M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon and multiple locations for mounting missiles, bombs and other mission equipment. Although it is no longer being purchased by the USAF, improved versions of the F-16 are still being produced for export customers. Over 4,500 F-16s have been built for the U.S. Air Force and the air forces of twenty-five other nations.

Hobby Master offers a wide selection of quality, pre-assembled, diecast model airplanes. Each model is crafted to a high level of accuracy using specifications of the original aircraft. They are constructed with precision-made diecast metal and some plastic components.
