Air Force One is the official call sign of any U.S. Air Force aircraft carrying the President of the United States. The current presidential fleet includes two highly modified Boeing 747-200 series aircraft – tail codes "28000" and "29000" with the Air Force designation of VC-25A. While these aircraft use the call sign Air Force One only when the president is aboard, the term is generally used to describe either of the two 747s used and maintained by the US Air Force solely for the president, as well as any additional Air Force aircraft used by the president.
