The SH-60F Ocean Hawk (Sea Hawk) is a four-bladed, twin-engine helicopter built by Sikorsky. It serves as the US Navy's carrier-based anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and search and rescue aircraft. The SH-60 is based on the same airframe as the U.S. Army's UH-60 Black Hawk. The standard crew consist of a pilot, copilot, tactical sensor operator and acoustic sensor operator. It hunts submarines with the AN/AQS-13F dipping sonar and carries 14 sonobuoys.
The SH-60F first entered service on June 22, 1989 with Helicopter Antisubmarine Squardron 10 (HS-10) based at Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI).
